In this candid and practical session, Nitya will share his journey into shared housing, the evolution of Apple House Living, and the business models driving his success — including master leasing and how investors can use it to generate income while creating real solutions for underserved populations. He'll also give us a look at what's next.
Whether you're already in shared housing or just beginning to explore it, this is a conversation you won't want to miss. Come ready to ask questions, think differently, and leave with a clearer picture of what's possible.
Guest speaker: Nitya Grenham, Apple House Living
Nitya Grenham is a licensed real estate broker, investor, and entrepreneur based in Fayetteville, Georgia, and the founder of Apple House Living, a shared housing company committed to providing quality, community-centered homes at significantly lower cost to residents. Apple House Living is built on a vision of creating spaces that offer peace, privacy, security, and sustainability — places people are proud to call home for months or even decades.
Nitya's path to real estate was forged through adversity. A veteran who completed three combat deployments, he entered the real estate business in 2007, only to face the full force of the 2008 financial crisis — navigating unemployment, commission-based income, and the threat of foreclosure as a newly married homeowner. That experience gave him a deep, personal understanding of housing instability and the creative strategies needed to overcome it.
Over the years, Nitya built a multi-faceted real estate business that was intended to include investment, brokerage, and shared housing operations. But that by focusing exclusively on shared housing in Apple House Living real progress was finally possible... His work is grounded in the belief that what might be a discard house to one person can be turned into an opportunity to create a home and good living situation for others.... Allow people that have faced adversity, but have showed some tenacity and willingness to work, an opportunity to rebuild their lives in a safe, responsibility increasing environment.. an opportunity for people to feel that this is their home, whether it's for months or decades, and that they can demonstrate their ability to be responsible like a homeowner, get along with other people, becoming somewhat like a family... an equal member of the household, instead of just your average renter, or "tenant".
